The Tree of Life

"The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity... and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself."

"A fool sees not the same tree that a wise man sees."

William Blake

"All theory, dear friend, is gray, but the golden tree of life springs ever green."

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

"Never say there is nothing beautiful in the world anymore. There is always something to make you wonder in the shape of a tree, the trembling of a leaf."

Albert Schweitzer

"Great talents are the most lovely and often the most dangerous fruits on the tree of humanity. They hang upon the most slender twigs that are easily snapped off."

Carl Jung

The Tree of Life - Gustav Klimt

“To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best day and night to make you like everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight and never stop fighting.” E.E. Cummings

"Few people have the imagination for reality." Goethe

The first film adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s children’s book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland came in the form of a silent film in 1903, directed by Cecil Hepworth and Percy Stow. Only one copy of the original film is known to exist and parts are now lost.
